Adult Ministries

Here is a brief list of the adult ministries in which you can participate. If you would like to find out more information about our ministries, feel free to contact any of our Lighthouse Staff and Leadership.

Men’s Ministry

Let Us Rise

manA men’s group could not ask for a better leader than Darrin Walker.  Darrin heads up the men’s ministry at LFWC and it is a vibrant, active group. There is no telling what project they will undertake or activity you will find them in.

The men’s group has made trips to participate in Promise Keepers Conferences, taken float trips, had work days for people in need, put on roofs, moved families, shared meals, prayed for each other, carried each other’s burdens and demonstrated the love of Christ as men should at LFWC.

The LFWC men’s ministry is active year around and looks forward with great anticipation to our annual “Let Us Rise” men’s conference.  The Let Us Rise Conference is the highlight of every year and takes place the first weekend in August. If you are within a thousand miles you don’t want to miss that meeting as God demonstrates His power among men every year.

LFWC is blessed indeed to have such a group of men that God has raised up leading a great congregation of loving people.

Women’s Ministry

The Lighthouse Women’s Ministry is a group of women actively pursuing the face of God through prayer and the Word of God.

This body of women walks in love and unity, serving one another and seeking to help all in need. We believe that each woman is valuable, unique, accepted and loved.  The Holy Spirit is welcomed and invited to mold us in all areas of our lives.  During times of prayer and teaching, we have seen Him set free, deliver, and restore women to fulfill their God-inspired destiny.

Meeting Times

The Women’s Ministry hosts a Gathering on the 3rd Tuesday of each month starting at 6:30 PM. It is a time of great food for the spirit and body.  The teaching is followed by an incredible time of prayer.  We also honor one of our women as “queen” for the month.  In addition to the monthly Gatherings, our women participate in annual retreats and various ministry opportunities.

Annual Lighthouse Leadership Conference

We also host The Annual Lighthouse Leadership Conference each June.  It is a time where men & women from different churches, cultures and backgrounds come together and exalt the Lord Jesus together.  The Word of faith is taught and the Spirit of God is poured out during these meetings.  Your life will truly never be the same!

Altar Ministry

The LFWC Altar Ministry is a unified team that works in conjunction with all the ministries at the Lighthouse.  This team consists of Spirit filled men and women operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

As part of the LFWC vision to train leaders, the team meets at least once a month for biblical training, mentoring and corporate prayer.  The Altar Ministry also meets for special times of prayer throughout the month.

Prayer

LFWC will be known as a House of Prayer. Jesus said, “If His House was not a House of Prayer, that it was a den of thieves.” A church that won’t pray is robbing the souls of people. A church that won’t pray is allowing the enemy to steal our children, our marriages, our families. LFWC is to be a House of Prayer.

At the Lighthouse we believe in the power of prayer and there are several opportunities and times to be a part of corporate prayer. We highly encourage everyone to be a part of prayer as it is the key to the moving of the Spirit of God and God has called each one of us to prayer.

Prayer opportunities include:

  • Intercession & Deliverance
If you are interested in information concerning Intercession & Deliverance, please download our Deliverance pamphlet or contact our ministry leader Gail Cobb at gail@lfwc.us.
  • Corporate Prayer
The church meets corporately for a focused time of prayer every Sunday evening at 7:00 PM.

Worship

The bible says, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” and we believe in exciting, energetic and passionate praise and worship.

It is evident when you come to the Lighthouse, as the music begins, there is an atmosphere of worship and passion for God. At the Lighthouse we love to worship the Lord! It is our prayer that all people that walk through the doors encounter God Almighty and when you welcome Him with your worship you will!

Pastor Kathy Gott leads the worship team and for more information concerning this ministry you can contact her at kathy@lfwc.us.
